Park County Stream Jurisdiction Mapping Project

Ceci Welch, our Big Sky Watershed Corps member, is tackling this large-scale mapping project that will show all streams in Park County that are jurisdictional under the 310 Law. All perennial streams, streams and/or rivers that are flowing continuously in parts of its channel throughout the year, are jurisdictional under the 310 Law. This means, all projects occuring directly on or near the streambank of a perennial stream require a 310 permit. This mapping project will show applicants which streams are perennial and which ones are only intermittent or ephemeral throughout Park County. Complete versions will include a poster-size wall map, brochures for distribution, and an interactive digital version to be posted on the website.
